God save the king

“In order to protest against this unjustified hike in petroleum prices and the total ineptitude of UPA Government to address this problem, BJP President Nitin Gadkari has given a call for a Bharat Bandh on 5th July,”

What the hell is this all about! :-@ Its high time people of India stand up and say “You and your rotten politics”. Who are these people to disrupt normal life in India? As far as people ‘rich enough’ to even read this blog, a bandh is a holiday. You’re not going to skip a day’s meal for this. You’re not going to let your babies cry a whole day because of some stupid statement released in an air-conditioned hall with all those white-collared men raising their “pens” searching for one question that might get them a good name from their boss.

I don’t really know why if I tune into any news channel, all I’m seeing is “Our expose has brought the truth out”, “We just caught them red-handed….”, “The no.1 news channel in India!”. Sorry to get this hard, because there are great journalists who are doing quality service bringing us wonderful news. But, one of their prime concerns is also to make “their show” the best. Yet to see a people’s show! L I’m still haven’t seen a journalist good enough to re-write our nation’s fate. To all those people who say ‘My pen’s mightier than the sword’, my reply is “This is just not enough buddies”.

Now, coming back to the topic of discussion, these grey-haired men are still believed by our people even after repeated failures in solving our problems, on the contrary, they’re only escalating our problems! This is all because the media is not properly connected with the people and the reality of Indian politics is not known to common men! A farmer in a sleepy, deserted village of Rajasthan is only concerned about lack of water for HIS farms and lack of food for HIS family. I don condemn this attitude, but he’s not alone. Almost the whole country thinks only about HIMSELF or about HIS family. Where’s “Jai Hind”?? Do you often find people concerned about the nation outside the defense forces of India? Even in my family, if I talk about joining the air-force my mom just goes berserk. I’m interested in politics. But, do you think considering present situations, can I be of help?

On one side we have an amateur government which has no idea how to handle the situation. On the other, we have the Bharatiya Janatha party working so hard to find some agenda to steal the show and win the next elections. I just say an election in India is a stupid stunt. Just a stupid, worthless stunt in which being dirty is the trend! All it does is bring in a new government which steals us in a different way!

The BJP calls themselves the people’s party when they’re not even considering the welfare of every section of the society! One day of National strike means loss of GDP for the nation, loss of a day’s income for its men. Instead, Mr. Nitin Gadkari could have called in for an all-party meet with the Petroleum minister as the chair person and talk the issue. Even the Congress could have arranged for a meeting like this to get opinions on what can be done. I think everyone should stop for a moment and think this is a democratic nation. Why not ask the opposite parties for opinions? They have won seats too. The represent the people too! Why isn’t there any free-minded politician who thinks beyond his party’s welfare? Why isn’t there innovation in governance? One answer is they are too old, next is the radical ones don’t have the power.

If one person can sit over his dinner and decide that there needs to be bandh and spoil the dinner of many, this is not a democratic nation! I’m sure BJP would have had a meeting to talk of the price hike issue and one of the great leaders would have come up with marvelous idea! Can’t people see that even the Congress wishes to stay in power after its term ends? (Though the reason still not known :-p ) Why would they do it when they know everyone’s gonna oppose this? The answer’s quite simple, but it has two versions. One it’s just unavoidable, and the other it’s a temporary measure. For me, both are stupid :-x

Analyse the situation. If India had lesser black money, if the rich were taxed more, if Indian governments do justice, I suppose we would not have prices this high. Mr.Advani did one thing; bring this issue in the parliament. But, he also must have known every single of the great men will not even bother about this. That’s his plan, an eye wash. Finally, it’s a promise the BJP has made so that they can blah-blah in the streets during election campaigns. Why not call for a Nation-wide support for taking down tax haven accounts? They won’t. Because that will be like suicide (they need to transfer their Swiss accounts to other means) and second, the present government will get a good name once we get OUR money back!

Its vey true that India has no hopes of developing into a powerful nation until its governed and not ruled. Its like monarchy with sons and daughters replacing fathers; its like dictatorship with one leader capable of convincing all decision-makers; its like hell.

People, its time you stop reading this blog and start talking about politics. Like all good things, begin talking with family, then, your friends and finally the society. Reform your society, stand against ROTTEN politicians; stand against ROTTEN governance and be brave enough to fight the enemies within, first. Don’t just return home after watching a show of Nayak or Anniyan. There’s lot more one can do: THINK.

JAI HIND!
